End of an era at the Packard Center

Long-time Packard Administrative Director Kathy Davis announces her retirement after 18 years.

This month the Packard Center says goodbye to its long-time Administrative Director, Kathy Davis, who recently announced her retirement after 18 years.  Davis, who joined the the Center in 2001, was instrumental in helping to build and maintain Packard’s unique collaborate model that has become a cornerstone of the Center’s mission.

Since joining the Packard Center, Davis has been been involved in every aspect of the Center’s operations including overseeing the budget and finances, managing the scientific grant process, working closely with the Board of Governors, fundraising and interacting with donors, and providing the spark that launched the Fiesta 5K in 2007.

“Kathy’s commitment to the Packard Center has never wavered,” noted Jeff Rothstein, Packard Center founder.  “For the last 18 years, she has been the glue that has kept us all together and I will miss her creativity, dedication and her friendship. Her work on behalf of scientists and ALS patients helped to put the Packard Center at the forefront of ALS research."

An announcement about her replacement will be made next month.
