Virtual Fiesta 5K celebrates ALS Awareness Month
Annual Packard Center event held virtually and raises $50,000 for ALS Research.
The 15th Annual (and second) virtual Fiesta 5K raised $50,000 for ALS Research. While runners were not able to gather in person due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants showed their flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm to help keep the spirit of the annual event alive, even during challenging times. Teams safely gathered, Zoomed, ran, walked and exercised in support of science. Held this past May, during ALS Awareness month, runners and walkers were able to participate anytime during the month and submit their photos and race times.
All proceeds directly benefit the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research, and will be used to fund research to unlock answers and find effective therapies to end ALS for future generations.
